A Life Without You

A Series Of Poems

A Poem By: Martina Garcia

black hole

you were the brightest star in the whole sky

but you have been destroyed more times than i can count

your very own collapse has formed the darkness around you

you are your own black hole

so you search for light

but everyone else is just a flashlight in your galaxy

they shine but after so long their batteries will run out

and you will no longer have a distraction

this emptiness will consume you

i thought i was bright enough for you

but trying to light up your life has dulled mine

and now that i have collapsed

i wonder what will happen when two black holes collide
