A Life Without You

A Series Of Poems

A Poem By: Martina Garcia

the process of a polaroid starting blank as the negative develops and the color slowly drifts on to the film is the same way a rainbow appears after rain

with both there is a waiting period

a small amount of time where there is uncertainty

but as the color reaches our eyes we realize those uncertain moments are necessary

maybe being left in the dark with no light opens your eyes more

i have come to the realization that everything is certain

every small bump in the road is needed to prove a point

every tear spilled is the pain slowly being released from your body

crying does not make us weak

these break downs create break throughs

so embrace your waiting period

for something beautiful is on its way

and although it seems difficult now it will all come together later

this pain is temporary

wait for your rainbow
