A Life Without You

A Series Of Poems

A Poem By: Martina Garcia

Stained Glass

you left me a mess

forced to pick up my own pieces

I cut myself in the process of gathering them all

I want to put myself back together but the pieces are too small

will I be able to be who I was or am I to shattered to remember what piece goes where

you made me realize I don’t know who I am without you

So I will turn the flame higher

I will melt my broken pieces

I will shape them into something new

yes they are different sizes and colors now but once placed together they will be beautiful like stained glass
